The Legendary Leaders Podcast

Jan 30, 2020

In the 14th podcast episode of the Legendary Leaders series, we chat with Sarah Rozenthuler, a Chartered Psychologist, leadership consultant, author of two books and founder and CEO of Bridgework.

Sarah outlines Bridgework’s purpose which is to build bridges through better communication between leaders and leadership teams, to enhance collaboration and collective intent. Sarah’s aim is to help people connect and see the uniqueness in each other and to enable the creation of fresh ideas and new insights.

Sarah shares the turning point from leaving her corporate role to going freelance and then building her own consultancy and advises us all to notice what energises and engages you at work. That ‘more noticing’ led Sarah to redirect her career and train in facilitation and coaching. Sarah notes her inner conviction as to how she could contribute in a different way, despite not having a long-term plan in place as to what she was going to do.

What makes a leader for Sarah? In her own words it’s “having that openness and boldness to step forward into the unknown”. She talks about having the ability to engage and energise others and draw the best out of them, with a real sense of inner conviction. Sarah talks about impact as a greater motivator than factors like money and status.

Sarah leaves us with her top tip which is to be true to you and do that by staying close to your energy.
