About Sara Mosher

 

Sara Mosher RN, BSN, MHA, has been in nursing practice since 2001 and is the Founder/CEO of Patient+Family Care. Her career was first spent as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit fulfilling such roles as bedside nurse, clinical practice coordinator, critical care neonatal flight nurse, NICU family support specialist and interim manager of a NICU and Pediatric Department. In 2014 her talents were transitioned to care coordination and population health nursing.

 

Sara is recognized as a leader, teacher and mentor and has been awarded the Oregon Pediatric Nurse of the Year award in 2009, the Oregon Community Health Nurse of the Year Award in 2011 and the Lloydena Grimes Nursing Excellence Award in 2015. Sara has been a nationally sought out speaker on family centered topics, has five scholarly nursing article published and in 2018 published her first nursing textbook which was awarded third place in the annual American Journal of Nursing Book Awards. In 2016, Sara joined the Oregon AWHONN leadership team by becoming the Central Oregon Chapter Leader and Oregon Conference Chair. Sara is active in charitable work and served seven years as a Board of Trustee member with three reputable organizations. Sara’s passion throughout her career has always been the patient and family experience in healthcare and focuses her efforts in finding ways to enhance care across the continuum.  

 

Sara is married, is the mother of two young boys, and loves their very busy and active life in Bend, Oregon, USA.
